Mini Forever 21 Haul.

Today, I went to the mall to meet up with some of my friends and we did a little shopping (of course). The only store that I actually bought clothes from was Forever 21. I was fascinated by the fact that I've actually found things that I wanted to purchase. I didn't want to spend so much money, so I just bought three items.

One thing that I bought today was a crewneck sweater with Toy Story characters on it. I thought it was cute and it's a blast from the past. And why not? It is always okay to wear something nostalgic every once in a while. Not to mention that Toy Story is an awesome Disney/Pixar movie!

Another item that I purchased was a burgundy and navy blue flannel. It was a great price compared to some flannels that are sold at other stores. It is actually good for one of those effortless days. You can still look like you've put some effort into your outfit without actually putting effort. Did that make sense? Eh, whatever.

Lastly, I got a plain baseball tee because well, you can't go wrong with a baseball tee.

Well, that's my mini Forever 21 haul! :)

Thinking... Just Thinking.

Image via WeHeartIt.
Hello! I've been thinking a lot lately. Just thinking about my future. Yeah, I know. I'm still young and I have a lot of things ahead of me, but I just want to be ready when I get to a specific point in my life. For one thing, school and a career. For the past two days, all I have been doing on the internet was searching up more information about my career path. Also, I've been thinking of what I should do after graduating as an undergraduate. There are a bunch of things to look for. Of course I want to go beyond what my career offers, but yet I want to take a small break before heading into graduate school. For a while, I've always wanted to move out of the east coast and live in the west coast. I've experienced living in the suburbs and living in the city, but I got tired of the suburban area that I lived in and I'm just tired of the rush of living in New York City. Although I am born and raised in New York City, I feel like I don't really belong. I am way too calm for this city. I want to live a chill lifestyle. From my assumption, I feel like California offers that. I want to live in the Los Angeles city area and see what it's like. It's a city and it seems calm at the same time, if that made any sense at all. I still want to be in a city, but live in a more relaxed environment. Maybe someday I'll move there, but I have to make a visit first and see what it's like knowing that I've never been there before. For now, I should just think about my present and worry about my future later. I still have some time left to think about this. So, I'm just going to continue with my life as it is.

Going Back to the Past.

I've sort of got bored with my hair and I've decided to cut it. Over the summer, I wanted a new look and so then I cut my hair into a medium length bob. It looked nice for a while because I no longer had layers and long hair. It was something fresh and new. And then as the months went by and my hair grew a bit longer, I got tired of my hair (like I always do). I got tired of how it was just too plain for me and how my hair seemed thicker and heavy. Today, I went to the salon, got a trim, and I am now back to having layers. Also, I'm back to having bangs. Whoa! What?! Yeah, bangs. I didn't have bangs for a while and it feels weird now. Not to mention, I actually look like a little girl. Actually, I just look like how I did back in middle school (except the fact that I had long hair in middle school). I guess that I am sticking to having layered hair, because it fits me, it is who I am, and it is not so boring. I feel like I'm going back to the punk rock days...

New Band Obsession.

Image via Google.
The people who actually know me, know that I always have a new obsession with musicians and actors/actresses. I honestly don't know why I easily get obsessive towards people with talent, but I do. When it comes to music, I get way too obsessive because I just love music. When I discover new bands or artists, I will not stop listening to their songs. It will be on repeat. I will do my research to know a little about them and BAM! the obsession begins. When I was around 4, I was introduced to the pop culture because... well, it was everywhere. Then, when I reached the age of 9 or 10, I started listening to rock music ranging from pop rock to punk rock to alternative rock, basically anything that fits in that genre. That was when I fell in love with Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and Paramore (they are not the only bands that I listen to, by the way). I am now 18, and I still love them. The more I grew up, I stopped listening to them for a while, because they all were on a hiatus. I began listening to indie music. Whether if it is indie rock, indie pop, indie folk, or anything in that specific genre, I will listen to it. My alternative, punk rock days were over in high school. I started to listen to different genres more and I basically like anything except country and techno. I do listen to 80s and 90s rock bands as well because my 6th grade teacher introduced them to me during my little phase. Yeah, pretty cool teacher, right? Haha. Then my life revolved around YouTube and I have a friend that talked about music to me. And so, I began liking more bands that were on YouTube through my friend. Then in 2012-2013 my favorite bands were back and I felt ecstatic. Moving on... I've recently found a new love for a band. A pop rock/punk rock band from Sydney, Australia, who also toured with One Direction in 2013. It is 5 Seconds of Summer aka 5SOS. They make me relive my past a bit. They make me feel nostalgic. Their music is pretty cool. They are just amazing. And not to mention, they are cute! I'm in love with 5SOS. I really do fancy them and I cannot wait until their album is released this year. Yes, the photo above is them. :)

Just a Little Late.

While everyone has announced their New Years resolutions already, I just thought of mine. I would like to first start off by saying that this year will be a good year. And by making it a good year, I will keep a positive mindset. Thinking positive was last year's resolution, but towards the middle of the year, I've failed. This year, I am going to make sure that I'm going to stick to it. With positive thinking, there are positive outcomes. The next resolution is, starting fresh and new and becoming a little more confident. The other day, I've decided to delete my useless, unnecessary tweets and Instagram photos. And it felt good. Getting rid of my negative tweets and dumb photos made me feel happier and a weight sort of lifted off my shoulders. It's kind of like therapy if you think about it. And also from yesterday's post, I've tried branching out by uploading a YouTube video. So, no more insecurities. I'm going to feel good about myself no matter what. To sum this post up, I will be more happy, and less of a buzzkill. That is my New Years resolution.

Pretend I am making a toast to the new year with this Starbucks cup.
Cheers to the new year! 2014, do not disappoint me.

Branching Out!

Since it is a new year, I am going to do new things. To start off, I've decided to make a YouTube video. What? Yes, a YouTube video. I've been wanting to sit in front of a camera and talk to it for a while now, and I did it! I used to be weirded out to talking to a camera for the longest time and I just thought, "suck it up, Sandy. It's just a harmless camera. Do what you want to do." I had this YouTube channel since middle school and I started uploading vlogs in 2013 for fun. I used to record my amateur singing when I was 12 and uploaded it to an old YouTube channel of mine, which no longer exists (the videos, not the channel). Since I enjoy watching people vlog and enjoy what they do on YouTube, I thought why not do it? I've been wanting to do this since I was 13. I've been feeling shy and restricted from doing this because I thought I would be so awkward once I turned on the camera. The other day, knowing that things need to change, I was more relaxed, I was doing my own thing, and being myself in front of my camera. The next thing you know it, I edited my video and uploaded it to my YouTube channel. This year, I am going to branch out more.

So here it is! My first official sit and talk YouTube video.

Fun Small Project.

So, I actually have a few polaroid photos and I've ran out of room on my wall of photos. Haha. I've decided to tape the photos around my mirror, but they weren't sticking very well and they kept falling. I was getting a bit irritated and so, my cousin and I thought that it would be better to create a photo clothesline. Both of us went to Target to find twine and mini clothespins, but we only found twine at the Target that we went to.  Then, we knew that Michaels would have some clothespins and they did! And as soon as I got home from visiting Virginia (which I stayed for a night and two days), I began creating this lovely project. I had left over decoration Command strip hooks and stuck them on my wall. I took one twine and wrapped the hooks twice so that they would stay in place once I clip the photos on them. It turned out pretty nice and I like it. It is very vintage and edgy.

A Week Full of Adventures.

Okay. So this post will consist of mainly photos of my week that I've spent with my cousin when she came to visit. There are way too many pictures that are pretty much self explanatory.  I'm going to let the pictures explain my week of adventures.

Yes, I did make a new friend at Central Park.
The ceiling of FAO Schwarz.

Tiramisu, Normandy Cheesecake, and Mange Moose.
