2013 Recap.

Well, 2013 is almost over. Man, the year flew by. A lot of things actually happened this year. From senior year of high school to having pink hair during the summer to starting college. 2013 was a good year. I've made plenty of new friends this year and I got to do a lot of things. I actually participated in some spirit days and I didn't have a lot of school spirit throughout high school. Haha. Getting into college was another exciting thing that happened during the year. I got to see Olly Murs and the lovely, Before You Exit (who I met) in concert as well. 2013 is also the year where I started uploading videos to my youtube channel. Also, I probably got one of the best prom proposals. My date wrote me a song and sang it to me. He interrupted my math class just to sing his proposal with yellow roses. It was sweet. My yearbook is filled with positive and well, memorable things. I got to graduate in Washington, DC and it felt awesome because it was at the DAR Constitution Hall. Very classy. I did a risky thing and bleached my hair to dip dye it pink (it was just a summer look). Then, I began my first semester of college and finished it well. 2013 was a big year for me and I hope 2014 turns out awesome! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Not a Lazy Sunday.

On Sunday, my cousin from Virginia came to visit! She is staying for a week since it's winter break. And on her first day of being in New York, it was raining. BUT that didn't stop us from doing anything though!

We went to the famous Shake Shack for lunch. If you don't know what Shake Shack is, it is basically the In N' Out of the East Coast. It was my first time there and it was also my cousin's first time. It is so delicious. The place actually did look like a shack, but it was a nice shack. There were also some Christmas lights hung on the ceiling and it looked very edgy. I liked it. I had a root beer float made with their famous frozen custard as well, and it tasted like homemade cake baked from scratch. I am in love with this place now.

After getting some burgers, we went to the mall. We did a bit of shopping and walking around. I actually had to exchange the size of my Christmas gift, but ended up returning and buying something else because the store did not carry the specific style of clothing that I've received for Christmas. When we were done with our shopping, we had to make a last stop at Pinkberry because my mom wanted some frozen yogurt. While I was there, I got a yummy chocolate banana shake. What a day it was.

I drank most of it before taking this photo. Yes, it was THAT good.

New Favorite Christmas Treat.

I know, I know. Christmas is over, but that does not stop me from eating some delicious treats.  Candy canes in particular.  I know that there are varieties of candy canes, but I personally love Hershey's Chocolate Mint Candy Canes.

These candy canes are amazing! I mean, I've always loved the chocolate-mint combo (that is probably why I like these so much). Especially, mint chocolate chip ice cream. They're sweet and minty. I love it!

They are even festive looking.  The red, green, and white gives it the Christmas feel, but yet the brown to distinguish the chocolate gives it a warm feeling...  I don't know, that is how I feel about the appearance.  It is classic with a twist.  There are plenty of chocolates with mint or peppermint flavoring, but these are less messy knowing that it will not melt in your fingers.  I'll probably purchase them again next year near Christmas. They are my new favorite type of candy cane.

Break, Break, Break.

It is winter break and it feels nice to be out of school for a bit.  I get to lounge around and be lazy.  That is what I call a proper vacation. I get to stay up and sleep in, which is probably the best thing about break. Another thing that I get to do is catch up on my shows and finish reading a book for my own entertainment.  Call me a nerd, but I do enjoy reading sometimes.  Especially, when it is my choice of book. I even have time to bake!
These are homemade biscotti's that I baked for Christmas in the photo. They were so delicious! I felt proud of my baking.  My family and family friends loved them and the plate ended up empty towards the evening.

Well, moving on from baking... I now do not have to worry about assignments until the next semester begins. This is probably one of the best things about college. It's awesome. I cannot wait to catch up on activities.

My Very First Blog Post.

I would like to start off by saying hello internet world.  This is my first blog ever (besides my Tumblr blog, but that doesn't count).  I will be posting personal thoughts and personal experiences like most bloggers do.  This will be interesting for me.  I usually post things through Tumblr, but it doesn't feel like it's the right place to post stories and opinions.  Some people will read it, but most will skim through it and reblog photos instead.  Hopefully, I will not forget to post things on this blog. Well, this is it. Here is my blog.
