I'm an Adult?

Image via Pinterest

So, I'm considered an adult. What is the real definition of an adult? I don't feel like an adult. What makes me an adult? I'm still trying to figure things out. I'm trying to figure out life itself. I can't even get my life together, but if I did, I wouldn't be human. After weeks of relaxing after a whole year of being a student and taking classes, I finally got to relax. I have to admit, it felt weird when I was finally free from work. I then got used to being able to be carefree a bit. I then woke up to reality and I realized that I needed to find a job and internships to earn experience and some money while I finish my last year as an undergraduate. It's crazy how I'm almost done with school. I began my job and internship search this week and I also created a new cover letter. I just hope I'm good enough. To be honest, everything scares me and I just think of the worst for myself and of myself. I always feel pressured because I have the mind of a perfectionist. It actually sucks having that mind set sometimes, but hey, that's just who I am. I am now in my twenties and I would like to do a million things, but I'm afraid that I won't get to anytime soon. There are people my age who are fortunate enough to do those things that they've dreamt of now. I'm just waiting for my time to do those things. My mom has always told me to not think too much far ahead in life, because I am creating scenarios and I might end up disappointed in the end, which has happened before. I just need to find a way to only think of the present, be aware of the present, and keep my expectations leveled. The only way that I can do that is distract myself, like how I did during the recent spring semester. I actually surprised myself and was beyond happy. I'm usually... just content. As a reminder to myself, I should distract myself with only things happening in front of me, don't expect too much, and think positively, even when everything goes wrong or it's just not my day. I'm not a kid, but not an adult. I'm going to have times where it's okay to be a kid, and times where I have to be an adult, or the society's definition of an adult.

What's Going On?!

Image via Google.

Hey, hi, hello. I know that I've said that I will post more often on this blog, but I either have nothing to post about or I've been busy being lazy after two months of summer classes. Tomorrow will be the first day of classes and I'm freaking out because summer flew by. In the sense of the school year, summer is over, but scientifically, it's not. My mind has been all over the place lately and I honestly don't know what's going on. I can't really think straight. Even my grammar has been all over the place. Although I'm not ready to go back to school, maybe my mind is. Or maybe I just need more sleep. I do get the full 7-9 hours, but it feels like it is not enough. I just want to rest. I know I shouldn't complain, because I'm not out in the real world yet where I am on my own, but I just want to take up as much laziness that I can get before I head my way into the real world. I also want to have fun while I can. That is one thing on my mind. Another would get into the deep stuff that I don't really want to share to the Internet, but it is something that makes me feel small and alone. That's how deep and dark my mind has gone to. I am okay though, because I just let my emotions out and I suddenly feel fine. Here is where thinking positive comes in. Positivity works it's way in to fight the negativity that is running through my mind. I am sill unsure of what's going on my mind, but sure, I'll find it.

Exploring the Native Land.

It has been a long week and I needed to find a way to escape the stress that I have from school. My best friend, Lizette, and I decided to hang out yesterday and we basically did a little bit of exploring. Where we live, there's a diner that's a few blocks away from the both of us. While growing up in the area, we have never been there. We decided to get lunch there, and it was pretty good. After we were done, we got on the subway and went to 5th avenue. Lizette had to go to Tiffany&Co to purchase a birthday present for her sister. It felt like we were in the fabulous Breakfast at Tiffany's. After that, we decided to go take a stroll in Central Park. We got to see a sea lion while walking pass the zoo. We also sort of had our own personal photo shoot. We usually walk around the same perimeter, but we had a lot of time and decided to find the pond. The both of us have never been to the pond before. Once we got there, I felt like I was entering a fairytale-like getaway. The warm, breezy weather was relaxing and the view was amazing. I enjoy days like this. It's just the time to reevaluate and escape.

Outfits To Explore In.

Last week, I went to Massachusetts with my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins and we've explored the city of Boston. I just thought, hey, why not wear nice outfits while exploring. It was just an excuse to put some nice outfits together. Anyway, here are my favorite ones that I put together.
