Where Are You Summer? Where Can I Find You?

Hey, Hi, Hello! Just a little update of what has been going on. I just finished the first session of summer classes and it feels great. I now have to worry about the second session.  I'm on a small, three day break from my classes right now and I'm just catching up on some things. It seems like the more I do school work, the more I get lazy. Or it's just that I'm working too hard that I want to be lazy. Either way, I just want a nice break. The reason why I'm taking two summer sessions is so I would have a nice summer vacation next year. My plan is to get everything out of the way so that I can finish all of my schooling on time. Anyway, with school in the way of me actually doing nothing, I try my best to make some free time for myself. So, I set up schedules to submit things before the due date and make sure that I am free on the weekends. Everyone knows that a Thursday is a "college Friday," and that's what I try to keep in mind when I do my school work. I try to keep my Fridays free so that I can enjoy relaxing and doing what I want, so that summer will feel like summer. I also try to keep my Wednesday schedule to a minimum amount of work, because Wednesdays are the days where I spend the whole day with my mom and I won't have time to do a lot of work. I'm just counting down the days until I'm free from these summer classes, which will be the last week of July. It seems long, but it actually goes by fast. Making a schedule definitely helps lower stress levels and increase happiness.

Aside from summer classes, let me tell you about the non-school related things that I've done. I did the usual: hang out with my cousins and friends, grab a bit to eat, go shopping, and catch up on shows through Netflix. I've just planned out everything for the next few weeks and I hope it goes s'well and that I don't breakdown.

Exploring the Native Land.

It has been a long week and I needed to find a way to escape the stress that I have from school. My best friend, Lizette, and I decided to hang out yesterday and we basically did a little bit of exploring. Where we live, there's a diner that's a few blocks away from the both of us. While growing up in the area, we have never been there. We decided to get lunch there, and it was pretty good. After we were done, we got on the subway and went to 5th avenue. Lizette had to go to Tiffany&Co to purchase a birthday present for her sister. It felt like we were in the fabulous Breakfast at Tiffany's. After that, we decided to go take a stroll in Central Park. We got to see a sea lion while walking pass the zoo. We also sort of had our own personal photo shoot. We usually walk around the same perimeter, but we had a lot of time and decided to find the pond. The both of us have never been to the pond before. Once we got there, I felt like I was entering a fairytale-like getaway. The warm, breezy weather was relaxing and the view was amazing. I enjoy days like this. It's just the time to reevaluate and escape.

What Did I Do Last Week?

I have been slacking on creating blog posts on time recently. I honestly wanted to post on the days of when I had my small "adventures," but things kept getting in the way. Anyway, I'll explain my week through each photo that I've taken.

I went to the pet shop once again and played with a different puppy. This puppy was way too playful and too hyper for my liking. Although, the puppy was super adorable. This puppy's heart was pretty much racing when I held it.

The next day, I went back to New York with my mom and my cousin, Jane and stayed for three days. We came back for no reason really; just for fun. We got to fulfill our cravings of Thai food at the restaurant near by the house.

Laudree is one place that I needed to try and cross off my bucket list and we happened to be shopping in SoHo. So, why not go on a mission to find the shop?

On the drive back to Virginia, I've decided to experiment with my new camera and discovered this setting. I thought it was pretty awesome.

The next day after coming back from Virginia, it was my 13 year old cousin's birthday party and it was just a crew of family-friends and other cousins.

During the party, I thought that I should take photos with my parents and so I did.

Anyway, what a week I had.

A Nice, Small Moment.

Yesterday, my friend, Lizette and I planned to meet up to go to the pizza restaurant where our friend from middle school works at for a laugh. Not to mention that the friend is the old crush of mine and also the friend that I had an awkward moment with last week. As we walked into the restaurant, there was no sight of him, but we ordered our pizza anyway because we've already walked in. As we were waiting, we just had some random conversations, as usual, and the friend was going around cleaning the tables. Then, when our pizzas were ready, we went up to the counter to pay and the friend suddenly said "Hi Sandy" then "Hi Lizette" and I was like "Hey ______!" Yup. Then he started a conversation by asking us where we go to school and stuff. After we got our pizza, we went to our table. Later on, he started cleaning tables again and asked me a few other questions and asked some of the same to Lizette. It was nice that he was concerned. I'm glad that he spoke to us first and was trying to keep a conversation too. It's nice to see someone after some number of years and knowing that they're doing really well. It's just the little things in life that gets to me. It was great seeing and talking to him and not feeling so awkward anymore.
